My R/C Cars
Kyosho

Subaru Impreza WRC. 1999. 4WD. 1/10 Scale.
With numerous World Rally Championship (WRC) victories under their belt since 1995, Subaru knows about building a race winning Rally car. Using the '99 Impreza WRC body shell, Kyosho designed the PureTen Alpha EP 4WD series to run over dirt, gravel and on tarmac, just like the real Rally cars. The chassis was designed with 20mm of ground clearance for running on the rough. Chassis weight is evenly distributed for improved balance and gives quick & responsive steering control. Spring dampers are fitted to all four wheels for bump suppression and features double wishbone suspensions for both front and rear.

I currently run it with a Hobbywing Xerun V10 8.5T motor with 120A esc. Highest DT750 metal gear servo.

Tamiya

Wild Willy. 1983. 2WD. 1/10 Scale.
First released under the name "Wild Willis", the Wild Willy was released in 1982. Tamiya's stunt comic R/C car. The first off-road model to be fitted with a differential gear, the Wild Willy displayed easy to operate, dynamic running, has the 'wheelie' action, making it an instant favorite R/C car. The combination of its solid mechanics, exciting wheelie running, and highly detailed body with driver created a huge sensation among fans of both R/C cars and scale models. The Wild Willy was purposely designed with its weight center in the rear. The motor was positioned behind the rear axle and the battery placed toward the rear of the chassis, giving rise to dynamic wheelie potential. The car was equipped with an independent spring axle suspension on the front and a sturdy trailing link, coil spring on the rear. These mechanics allowed for highly effective off-road performance. It also had its R/C mechanics positioned in a sealed box, allowing for running in shallow water and mud. Careful attention was paid to water resistance, with features such as a vinyl encasing for the motor and a rubber cover for the power switch.

Wild Willy 2. 1999. 2WD. 1/10 Scale.
In 1999, Tamiya released the Wild Willy 2. The comical look and wheelie feature of the exciting R/C machine carries on in the tradition of the original. The all new WR-02 chassis features a gear box neatly secured in a reinforced ABS resin monocoque frame. Side support bars have been added to the frame to heighten the overall rigidity and enhance Willy's "stunt vehicle" realism. The car also features 4-wheel independent suspension, front and rear differential gearbox. Running battery is positioned lengthwise toward the rear of the chassis, providing the ideal balance for outstanding wheelie action. Steering servo is mounted centrally on the chassis and holds two steering tie rods of equal length, which control left/right steering, ensuring reliable handling. Front & rear double wishbone suspension and oversize tires enable high traction and stability.
